Holsworthy ARC is an RSGB Brickworks accredited club. Brickworks, “Building on the Foundation”, is the RSGB’s scheme to help newly licensed amateurs build experience and confidence after their exam, with certificates as you go.

G3BBB Rob
Talk to Rob at a club meeting, or email the club and your message will be passed on.
Who it’s for
Foundation and newer licence holders, though anyone can take part. If you’re new to the hobby, the Brickworks tasks are a good place to build skills before taking on bigger, costlier projects.
How it works
You keep your own record of activities on the RSGB Record of Achievement sheet. The activities fall into five groups:
- Having a go: making contacts on VHF/UHF and HF, with digital, image and digital voice modes, and via a satellite or the ISS.
- Getting involved: activating an “OTA” award, Worked All Britain squares, contests and special event stations.
- Taking part: club meetings, club nets, a regular club role, giving a talk or helping organise an activity.
- Making: building a piece of radio equipment, or writing radio software, a website or a video channel.
- Promoting amateur radio: introducing a newcomer, helping at a rally, or helping run a training course.
Certificates are awarded at Bronze (3 activities), Silver (5), Gold (10), Platinum (15) and Diamond (23). Rob also has a few amateur radio hats and shirts to present with certificates.
Lots of club activities count: our club meetings, the weekly nets, Saturday workshops, CHOTA and POTA outings, and helping at the rally.
